BEGINNER'S GUIDE TO BEAUTIFUL ITALIC HANDWRITING

Does your handwriting need a makeover?
In this class you will be introduced to Cursive Italic writing with a flat nib. Designed during the Renaissance, this handwriting style is making a comeback for its beauty, speed and elegance. The basic shape of the Italic letter, joins, flourishes and use of a flat nib pen will be covered. We will use a flat felt-tipped pen, and options for calligraphy fountain pens will be discussed. If you have a calligraphy fountain pen 1.1 mm or smaller nib, bring it, but it is not necessary. All levels welcome.
